It is an awkward thing to shimmer when everyone else around you is not, to walk in your glory with an unveiled face when everyone else is veiling his[ or hers].
Waking the Dead, (Eldredge, 2003, 87)
Naked and loving it!
May this be our unashamed anthem!
Oh, that we would return to the Garden!
Oh, that the fig leaves would fall!
Oh, that the veils would take flight!
Oh, that we would realize ourselves the way God does.
That we would embrace our idiosyncrasies,
Love the way we were made,
And in return:
Let us love others for who they truly are,
And love God for who He truly is.
Let’s get naked again!
It may be awkward at first.
You may be the only one.
But give it time.
Everyone has the desire to be naked.
We all desire to be our true selves,
To walk with unveiled faces,
To be who we knew could be.
Let us go,
Be naked and unashamed.
