It is the art of noticing. It is the joy of searching and finding.
It is seeing with eyes not our own. It is to see what Father sees. It is to see what the poor sees. It is to see what little ones see.
It is to notice the many gifts that Father has hidden in the seams of our lives. It is to realize that if we were only to uncover, unfold the fabric of our lives, we would see that His goodness abounds.
It is to slow down.
It is to be silent.
It is to contend and ask questions. It is to embrace heartache and pain but never break companionship with hope.
It is to be intentional about every nook, cranny, and corner. It is to make a thorough examination of life’s events and see that God is indeed good.
It is to consent ourselves to a difficult-to-see-truth: Every day presents its self as a day to be grateful.
